Meeting one of my mentors, Alexandre Mars

I want to tell you about Alexandre in this newsletter because, I must admit, he not only inspired me, he also convinced me to join him in his adventure more than 6 years ago.
I met him during a rather unusual job interview. Fresh off the plane from New York, on his way to his hotel to drop his suitcase, Alexandre had asked me to meet him in his taxi before we headed to his photo shoot, where my mission was to make him smile. 😊
After two great entrepreneurial successes, he explained that he wanted to devote his energy to two ambitious and inspiring projects: launching a responsible investment fund and a non-profit startup whose goal would be to fight social inequalities around childhood. The profits of one would fund the other.
What convinced me in that first improvised meeting was that he made me think about the leading role one can play as an investor. By entering the world of finance and learning its workings, we could change the system from the inside. Do you think it is possible? And how?
